PLANNED EVENTS FOR 2021
2021 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Beverley and District Ringing Society. It has been, and continues to be, our plan to celebrate this with a range of events for our members and friends to participate in. Needless to say, these plans are all 'Covid-dependant'. The progress being made with the roll out of the vaccination programme is encouraging, but does not offer any firm timelines at this stage as to when and how life will start to return to normality.
The events announced here are subject to Covid virus guidelines and Government restrictions applicable at the time. Therefore, these plans are tentative and may be subject to change at short notice. We will maintain an up-to-date programme of events here, so please refer to this page regularly for the latest information.
BnD Monthly Meetings - Tower Bell Ringing
BnD meetings are traditionally held on the second Saturday of each month. At this time, no arrangements can be made to ring at towers in our area. As soon as it is safe and allowable to do so, we will arrange ringing for meetings, subject to availability.
Until this time, you can get your 'ringing fix' by visiting the BnD Ringing Room and joining a virtual practice. Regular BnD ringingroom practices are hosted on Ringing Room at Beverley and District tower. Ringing normally takes place on Monday and Wednesday at 7:30pm. Please email us if you would like to join a practice.
BnD Monthly Meetings - Business
Business Meetings are held every Quarter, the next one is scheduled for Saturday, 12th June. If this and future Business Meetings in 2021 cannot be held as face-to-face events, the meeting will be held as a virtual event, hosted on the Zoom platform. Full details will follow nearer the time.
BnD September Business Meeting - Celebrating Our 75th Anniversary
This special meeting will take place in Hull Minster on Saturday, 11th September, a most appropriate venue as the Society was formed in the vestry of (then) Holy Trinity Church in August 1946. We are planning for ringing on the Minster Bells in the afternoon, followed by a Service of Thanksgiving, after which there will be a buffet and drinks. This will be followed by further ringing at the Minster.
More details to follow regarding this event.
