Other events
The Annual Striking Competition took place on Sunday 28th September at Holme Upon Spalding Moor. Results were as follows:
1 - St Mary's Beverley - 47 faults
2 - Market Weighton - 53 faults
3 - Hessle - 96 faults
4 - North Cave - 98 faults
5 - Walkington - 102 faults
6 - Nafferton - 121 faults
7 - Scratch Team - 134 faults
St Mary's Beverley were awarded the Albert Sellers Memorial Cup and Walkington received the Derek Watson Memorial Trophy as the highest placed 'Novice Band'. The Society's thanks go to Michael Henshaw for judging the competition.
